Flow-3D 2024R1 continues to improve our product and process development software by revising bubble and phase change models, making the software easier to use while avoiding common setup errors, especially when using heat transfer or liquid gas phase change options. The restructuring of the user interface grouped the liquid gas phase transition option with the solid-liquid phase transition option. We replaced the adiabatic bubble and hot bubble models with a unified ideal gas state equation, integrated fluid property inputs, and added options to control the parameters used to define the state equation. This development reduces the possibility of engineering errors, simplifies inputs, and provides a more natural grouping method for phase transition models. In addition, another new development is the addition of support for fluid structure coupling and thermal stress evolution models in EXODUS II based output files, significantly improving post-processing performance.
